Determination in the dumptruck.
Posted by Picasa

Abby found the air horn on this truck, and pulled and pulled and pulled. Sean was confused. That happens to him a lot.

Typical poses, big-time.

Trip To The Park (With The New Used Camera!)

I took the little 'uns to the playground the other day, to get them some exercise, but mostly as an excuse to try out the "new to me" camera from eBay. Here are the results. I think it's great!

Sean was kind enough to pose for my first attempt at a zoomed-in portrait shot. It came out well, I think!

Sean is a good little climber. He'll make the top in no time.

Excited -- finally climbed up to the top of the fake climbing-hill thing!

I love this sweet thing...

"Do I try to jump across?"

"Nah. I'm Abby."

Camping Fun!

Two weekends ago, we went camping at Pohick Bay state park in Virginia. It was a beautiful site, very pretty (and very cheap). We're not exactly into "roughing it," so there were battery-powered fans, air mattresses inside the tents, and the like. But, it was tons of fun. We spent a few hours at a really cool water park in the afternoon, had lots of hot dogs and brownies, made big fire, and generally enjoyed good fellowship with the Bascoms, Jason Parker, Teresa Nevin, Calvin Siler, and Cathy Priddy. We look forward to more camping in August!

Our new tent (Abby and I stayed in it)...

... and the old one. Sean and Kim stayed there.

Abby and R.J., her buddy. She's got one of those OFF! mosquito repellent things on. We call it her Iron Man look.

We even played frisbee a bit. Sean somehow managed to throw it 100% backwards every time. Amazing, really.

Tee Ball -- It's About Time!

A few weeks ago, Abby and Sean had their first tee ball lesson. I originally had it planned just for Sean, but Abby wanted in, which was great. As you can see, they both clearly have potential. And, the Yankees may well need a good number 3 hitter in about 17 years.

That's some serious hip turn. He'll have good power. And look at the eyes on the ball!

Move your hand, Abby. Abby, move your hand. ABBY! MOVE YOUR HAND!
